Decolonize Weimar is a project initiated by students of the Bauhaus University Weimar, and especially from the Media Science and Media Art programs. With a map and a city tour, the colonial landmarks of Weimar are presented and discussed. This enables a debate on how we research, convey and critically remember colonial history.

The Forum Antirassismus Medienwissenschaft was founded as a cross-community initiative to work against structural racism and to network antiracist initiatives and researchers in and with media studies. In working groups, we develop content, formats, and visions for a socially engaged media science.

Garp Sessions is a summer program that brings artists and thinkers together in Babakale, Çanakkale for a duration of 10 days. It aims to generate conversations around a question/topic/keyword and create room for interaction between people, practices, and researches. It prioritizes collective thinking, digesting and exchange among participants through reading sessions, teaching sessions, and collective meals.

Hackers & Designers is a non-profit workshop initiative organizing activities at the intersection of technology, design and art. By creating shared moments of hands-on learning H&D stimulates collaboration across disciplines, technological literacy, and different levels of expertise.

Microcosm Publishing & Distribution is a vertically integrated publishing house that equips readers to make positive changes in their lives and in the world around them. Microcosm emphasizes skill-building, showing hidden histories, and fostering creativity through challenging conventional publishing wisdom with books and zines about DIY skills, food, bicycling, gender, self-care, and social justice.

The Workbook Arts Education is a participatory platform that publishes new concepts and innovative ideas for arts education and cultural media education on the horizon of advancing digitization. The contributions of the workbook are systematized by categories, topics, target groups, and tools and are all freely available. All of the contributions have been developed from practices, for practices, in order to consistently look forward and incorporate new references.

topsoil is a transnational curatorial and research collective formed by Sofia Villena Araya, Deniz Kirkali and Amelie Wedel in 2017 in London. Individually engaged in research areas such as material feminism, critical ecologies, postcoloniality, and geopolitics and based in different geographical contexts – San Jose (Costa Rica), Istanbul (Turkey) and Berlin (Germany), together we seek to bring into conversation this multitude of contextual and disciplinary perspectives. Through creating a process of prolonged conversation, we ask how to work and think with each other through an approach that prioritizes care and sensibility to what drives our research and practice.
